Privacy
Short, plain, and honest. The whole policy fits on this page.
Last updated: May 9, 2026
What stays on your phone
- Your session history — which exercises you've used, for how long, and when.
- Your settings — sound, haptics, voice narration toggles.
- Your milestone counts.
Stored only in your device's local storage. We can't see it. Delete the app or tap "Reset history" in Settings and it's gone — there's no cloud copy.
What does leave your phone
Optional anonymous feedback. If you tap 👍 or 👎 after a session and submit, we receive: which mode you used, your rating, any text you wrote (capped at 280 characters), and the app version number. No device ID, no name, no email — nothing that identifies you.
The free-text field is for sending us product feedback. It is not shown to other users. There is no public feed, no community, no comments.
If you don't want to send feedback, simply don't tap the buttons. Nothing is sent in the background.
Usage analytics
Reset uses PostHog for anonymous, aggregated usage analytics. PostHog assigns a random device ID — not your name, email, or device serial. We use this to count things like "how many people start a session" and "how often a session gets completed," so we can find and fix problems. We also enable PostHog's session replay feature on a sample of sessions so we can see how the app is actually being used. Sensitive UI like the "describe how you feel" text input is masked from these recordings — we never see what you type. The data is held under our PostHog account and is not shared with advertisers.
What we don't do
- No microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos, calendar, motion, or HealthKit access.
- No ads, no ad networks.
- No IDFA (Apple's advertising identifier).
- No App Tracking Transparency prompt — we have nothing to track.
- No selling, renting, or sharing data for marketing.
- No user accounts or sign-in.
Service providers
- Supabase — stores the anonymous feedback. Privacy policy.
- PostHog — receives the anonymous usage analytics described above. Privacy policy.
- Apple App Store — handles app downloads and provides aggregate App Store analytics about the listing.
Children
Reset is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has used the app and submitted feedback, please email us and we'll delete it.
Your choices
- Stop sending feedback — simply don't tap the 👍 / 👎 buttons.
- Delete the app — removes all session history and settings stored on your device. Anonymous feedback you've already submitted cannot be retrieved or deleted because we don't know which entries are yours.
How long we keep things
- Anonymous feedback: kept indefinitely for product research.
- Server logs (IP-level, ops use only): 30 days.
Your rights (US, UK, EU, CA)
Because Reset does not collect personal information, most data-rights laws apply only in a limited way:
- Access / portability: there is no personal data file we could send you.
- Deletion: wipe local history in-app or delete the app.
- Opt out of sale or sharing: we don't sell or share, so there's nothing to opt out of.
- Complaints: UK residents may contact the ICO. EU residents may contact their national data protection authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA — email us to exercise them.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and note the change in the next app update's release notes.
